Star and her 2 week old filly , Mystic, were rescued from the auction/slaughter pipeline by Safe Haven.  Fortunately Safe Haven Rescue was notified they would be arriving at New Lebanon Auction and we were able to get them ushered into a separate area where they had access to fresh hay and clean water in buckets provided by our "boots on the ground

team". We firmly believe this intervention protected them from contracting any of the many illnesses present in the auction environment.  After winning the bid they were transported to quarantine and when cleared transported to Safe Haven .  Here they were allowed to grow and heal. Star is now waiting for her own person to love her.
